Youth Athlete Pathways

iWorkout Youth Pathways are structured long-term athletic development programmes shaped within professional sport environments. Built on the standards and methodology used in elite performance settings, each pathway delivers disciplined progression in strength, speed and movement quality for ambitious young athletes.

The Youth Pathway currently includes two progressive phases:

Phase Two – Development (Ages 12–15)

Structured strength training, acceleration mechanics, landing control and movement efficiency. This phase builds physical robustness, coordination and training discipline during key developmental years.

Phase Three – Performance (Ages 16–18)

Advanced strength progression, increased force output, speed refinement and resilience under higher training demands. This phase prepares athletes for academy environments, senior sport and long-term performance standards.

Each phase is available at two levels:

Plan Only

A fully structured progressive programme with weekly sessions, coaching cues and exercise demonstrations — designed for independent completion with consistency.

Plan + Coaching

Includes the full programme alongside direct coaching support, progression adjustments and structured accountability to ensure optimal development within the pathway framework.

Every pathway prioritises resilience, movement integrity and long-term progression while maintaining the professional standards that define the iWorkout methodology.

Phase Two – Development Pathway

Phase Two establishes structured physical development during a critical stage of athletic growth. Designed for developing footballers ready to progress beyond basic training, this pathway introduces disciplined strength foundations, sprint mechanics and resilience work within a carefully controlled framework.

Built on long-term athletic development principles used within professional environments, Phase Two prioritises technical quality, progressive loading and movement efficiency. Training is aligned with growth and maturation considerations to ensure safe advancement while building the physical qualities that underpin competitive football performance.

This pathway provides committed young athletes with a structured progression model designed to support long-term development rather than short-term performance outcomes.

Phase Three – Performance Pathway

Phase Three represents the progression from structured development into performance-oriented preparation. Designed for maturing athletes ready to tolerate greater training demands, this pathway introduces advanced strength progression, speed development and structured power training within a disciplined framework.

Built upon professional long-term athletic development principles, Phase Three enhances the physical qualities that underpin competitive football performance — strength, acceleration, deceleration control and resilience under increasing load. Programming remains aligned with growth and maturation considerations while progressively preparing athletes for the demands of higher-level competition.

This pathway is intended for committed athletes seeking structured performance advancement within a professional training system.
